Camden Marina

As mentioned below, Camden’s marina is full of activity, mostly tourist trade. It is not like the fishing marinas we saw from our schooner, Mary Day. These days fishing boats are mostly trawlers. Camden’s marina is filled with small to large private boats, some sailing and some motor. Plus, there are boats that are used for taking tourists on coastal tours that last from two hours to multiple days. If you enjoy people watching, you would love finding a comfortable park bench or restaurant table overlooking the marina spending several hours watching all the activity.

This is our schooner, the Mary Day.

Another view of Mary Day from a very lovely park.

Some of the more upscale seafood restaurants have room for parking your sea craft right off the restaurant’s patio.

There is one house with a great view!

Image captured by fellow shipmate, Steven, showing a large boathouse. I imagine it comes in very handy in the harsh winter months.

Amazingly, this ship slipped in without a hitch!

Lots of fun details all over the marina.

Behind the bushes is the tallest flag flying. That is the flag of the Mary Day and I was soooooo excited to be boarding her soon. Up tomorrow, a post full of descriptions of what it was like to be on board.
