PhotoSpydie

PhotoSpydie represents my relationship to an archetypal pattern, that of Spider Woman.  In most indigenous cultures, she is a storyteller-creator.  In playfullness, Spider Woman can become Spydie or even Spydie Gyrlie.  When I took up photography, the marriage of the photography and the storyteller/creator seemed very natural.

Photographic images can be powerful.  They can tell a story, shape our thinking about a world around us or a world far away from us.  They can tug at our emotions, beg for an intellectual explanation, and most importantly, they can be the basis of our growth in consciousness.  My goal is to become wiser, more conscious and to share my photographic images and those of other photographers and the insights and stories they create.

One of the best parts about photography is that it is meant to be shared.  Over time, this website has been developed into a sharing community where not only are photos shared, but also knowledge, experience, support and fun.  You are invited to share our journey.
