Two Artists in Jerome

When Kati and Nancy go to Jerome you might guess that the photos taken will not be the usual Jerome images we are so used to seeing.  Both are artists turned into expressing their talent for art through photography.  Enjoy.

White Sands National Monument

One of my favorite places to explore light with a camera, White Sands never fails to deliver.  Steve was with us on this trip, his first encounter with white sand.  He noted it was a lot like snow and he has a lot of experience with photographing snow.  "Just warmer!", he said.

The Sand Verbena looks great this year.  Will be a bumper crop in the next several weeks with flowers coming out when it gets just a tad warmer during the night.

Mellie's Maiden Voyage

We spent the first night parked next to my brother at the Enchanted Trails Resort on the west side of Albuquerque. It is right along historic Route 66 and has a delightful collection of older RVs and trailers. The next morning we traveled with Steve to Alamogordo. We stopped once to take photos and a nap at Valley of Fires.  We have just finished four nights at the Edgington RV Park. This is a short post, not only because there are not that many photos but also because I am on the internet using my iPhone as a personal hotspot.  Uploading photos takes up a lot of one's data plan!

Valley of Fires.

On the road again!

Alamagordo

Right outside our window.

The well must fill the pond.  Not sure about the panel.  There are fruit trees blooming, pecan trees around, a book exchange . . . not too bad!

Steve parked in front of us.

As we settle in for the night . . .

We have had a very nice start and are looking forward to many more trips.
