Still in Palouse

Tom has been busy! If I inquire about a room for the night or food he responds with, "There is a great shot here. I don't want to miss the light. I will call you back."

Enjoy these as I did.

Tom usually asks which image is my favorite. Talk about pressure!!!!  LOL.  The one below is high on my list.

The day was overcast, not the best light for shooting rolling hills, shadows (contrast) and a patchwork of color. One of the nice things about the way Tom is photographing Palouse is that he is on his own, driving down roads random roads, looking for opportunities and meeting wonderful people. Today he drove by an exquisite garden, pulled over and noticed the lady who tended the garden. She invited him to come on in and told him to come by any time to take more photos. He is working on them tonight, but here is a preview.

I expect more garden shots tomorrow, more fields and just . . . . well, more good stuff!!!

Thanks for your comments and the numerous emails that I have forwarded on to Tom.

Tomorrow morning I am leaving for Arches National Park. This should be an interesting blog. . . if I can keep up with Tom.

In Palouse

Tom arrived in Palouse yesterday just in time to get a few evening golden hour shots. He has been shooting almost continuously all day today. He did take some midday light time to send me some of his better shots that require no editing. He would rather shoot!! I am shocked. LOL

So here are some of his first shots of many that will follow. I hope you enjoy them as much as I am.

Tom has a room tonight at a small lodge close to the Snake River. My guess is that is where this image was taken.

Thanks for sharing.

Day Two in Palouse

Tom was a driving machine yesterday! He mentioned several side trips he would love to have taken, but was focused on putting some miles behind him and o get closer to Palouse. He can always pick up some of those sites on his way home.

He checked into a hotel and had an opportunity to do some editing of the previous days photos. I got them this morning. Enjoy some additional photos from Death Valley and Yosemite. He passed a miles long lake bed and I wanted to see it. You get a look of that as well.

Tom hopes to be in Palouse this afternoon and I know he is hoping to capture a great golden hour shot of the fields of Palouse. He said to write a 'hi' to everyone.
